This series consists of financial reports from Henry B. Holcombe, assistant banking commissioner, to the General Assembly of the State of Ala. on 1855 Nov. 15. The types of reports include: 1) a statement of collections from 1855 July 1 to 1855 Oct. 31 and the total amount collected; 2) a general financial statement of the affairs of the Branch Bank at Mobile; 3) a statement of discounted notes and notes protested, and the amount; 4) a statement of bills receivable; 5) a statement of the 16th section notes held by the Branch Bank at Mobile and the amount; 6) a statement of debts due the Branch Bank at Mobile and the amount; 7) a statement of total assets; and 8) a statement of sales of real estate by the Branch Bank at Mobile. This series serves as a useful research tool in the study of the liquidation of the State Bank and its Branches. Also included is a brief address to the General Assembly by Henry B. Holcombe.
